Samsung Galaxy A20 Review

Just like in 2017 and 2018, once again with the launch of the Samsung Galaxy A20, they hve proven to be the leader when it comes to smartphones.

However, over the past year, both Apple and Huawei have made their presence known in terms of sales. This has led to Samsung coming out with the latest in technology in an effort to control the smartphone market once again.

While the S-Series and the Note-Series held up very well against Apple, Xiaomi and Huawei when it came to premium phones, the A-Series (which includes the A20) is designed for those who are looking for a great smartphone that is in the mid-range price.

Build

This handset is following all of the current trends such as the 3D back, a USB port and a notch. It has many similarities of the A30 when it comes to design. However, one major difference is that it has an AMOLED panel that has a V cutout. In addition, the curves edges helps to make the A20 comfortable and sexy when it is held in the hand.

Display

It is not common to see an AMOLED panel of this size on a mid-range phone, but the A20 has Super AMOLED that far exceeds the OLED display. The display size is 6.4 inches with a pixel resolution at a maximum of 720 x 1560.

The display also boasts sharp contrasts between neutral whites, and the user can even choose from 4 different colour presets.

Battery

This battery appears to last for the entire day even with heavy use such as streaming and downloading media. However, if the user runs out of battery power, a 15W quick charge option will help out.

Samsung was slightly chary with adding this feature to this model. In fact, the A20 has similar charging to the Galaxy S10 and the Galaxy Note 9. This means going from a dead battery to a full charge does not take more than 2 hours.

Overall, the A20 is a great smartphone for its price range when it is compared to its competitors. It has an ideal design and a great chipset that are awesome for basic use.
